FRENCH HOME IN THE CAPE

The French style has a long architectural tradition in the Cape, as settlers in the 18th century built many beautiful buildings in Paarl and Franschhoek, which means "French Corner".

TRIPLE ARCHES

Triple arches are a little publized theme of French architecture, but many palaces and homes in France are built with this arrangement.

PEDIMENT ON COLUMNS

The facade overlooking the lake was designed in a symmetrical fashion with tall columns and pillasters supporting triangular roof pediments.
