The front facade of the house is direct and elegant in its design, with an L-shaped beam framing the front door, that is set against riven stonework. The triple garage is painted in a lighter colour to add depth to the modern design. BY BEVERLEY HUI ARCHITECTS

CONTEMPORARY STAIRCASE DESIGN
The staircase has been finished in carbonised bamboo, and the balustrade is of anodised aluminium with stainless steel cables. A feature wall of riven stonework contributes to the modern look.
STONE CLAD CELLAR
The architect designed the house to have an extensive cellar in a partial basement. The rustic cellar contrasts with the modern look of the house, being clad in genuine stone, and having heavy black hinges on the meranti wooden doors.
