CAPE VERNACULAR STYLE

This home in Johannesburg South Africa, was designed in the Cape vernacular style, but with more of a modern flair. The windows and doors are larger and very boldly placed. The gable is very simplified and contrasts with the horizontal lines of the modern beams.
